Yuhuu finally another Configuvention!

Shortly after New Year's Eve, over 150 artists from all over Europe will once again be coming to Aachen to take part in the 7th Configuvention.

You can expect:
Juggling, acrobatics, aerial acrobatics, club-combat, fire space, juggling games, shows, open stages and much more!

Was: Jonglieren und Passen in einer 1-fach Turnhalle

Wann: Freitag, 21.2.2025 bis Sonntag, 23.2.2025

Wo: wir ziehen an den Wettersteinplatz um. Dort können wir am Freitagabend schon rein. Und wir haben zwei Hallen. Supermarkt vor der Tür.

Wer: Passingbegeisterte (fast jedes Level) Jongleure aus München und Umgebung - und solche, die es werden wollen.
Du solltest 3 Keulen jonglieren können - dann macht dir das Passen mehr Spaß!

Preis: Für die Unkosten berechnen wir 15,00 € pro Nase

Das Passingwochenende ähnelt in gewisser Weise einer Convention, allerdings ohne Hallenübernachtung.

WAS ist das? --> Leute, die Conventions organisieren oder eine neue Convention starten wollen, treffen sich und tauschen sich aus
WER ist dabei? --> alle, die bereits Orga sind oder es werden wollen oder die sich irgendwie in der (deutschsprachigen) Jonglierszene engagieren und mitgestalten wollen
WIE läuft das ab? --> ich sammle Themen (gerne was vorschlagen, was euch interessiert), finde jemanden, der ein Thema vorbereitet (z. B. kleiner Vortrag, Anleitung Diskussionsrunde etc) und wir reden dann in verschiedenen Zeitblöcken über diese
Übernachtung/Essen: es gibt eine kleine Schlafhalle und Vollverpflegung
Kosten: ca. 15 € pro TN kalkuliere ich für das ganze WE 🙂
Außerdem gibt es Zeit für informellen Austausch, Zeit zum Jonglieren, chillen, spielen, Bierchen trinken.

Kurz und knapp ein paar Infos zur Convention für Fire-Spinner:

• großes Open Air Gelände zum spielen, feuern, zelten, feiern…
• großer Firespace mit Dipping (freies Fluid für alle) und DJs
• Regenalternative: große 3-fach Turnhalle nur für uns
• Übernachtung im Zelt oder in Doppel- oder Mehrbettzimmern im Haus inkl. Dusche und Toilette pro 2 Zimmer
• Extra buchbar: super leckere Vollverpflegung – aufgeteilt in Vegan oder Fleisch
• Workshops von allen für alle
• Spinner-Show und Shuffle-Show von allen für alle

This year we have the sports hall for a full 10 hours of three club combat and open juggling (10am to 8pm) so we have time for lots more than just a single tournament! Even if you didn't get an invite to the main event, everyone is welcome to join in with Team combat, Zombie combat, melee combat and more.

Preliminary schedule:

10:00 - 11:00 - Open melee combat / open juggling.

11:00 - 13:00 - Team combat tournament (mixed doubles).

13:00 - 14:00 - Lunch break / open juggling.

14:00 - 15:30 - European Championships Open and Women's group stage matches.

16:00 - 17:30 - The European Championships 2023 Open and Women's knockout matches.

18:00 - 20:00 - Zombie Combat / open juggling.

20:00 - Dinner.

22:00 - Party.


Player Qualification
An automatic invite into the European Championships Open tournament is extended to the winners of the four Major Tournaments (typically the British, Netherlands, Berlin, and EJC Fight Nights), as long as they live in Europe and have taken part in at least two other tournaments in the 2024 season.

On November 4th 2024, the top 7 players in the 2024 Open Race Rankings will receive a direct invite, so long as they live in Europe and have taken part in at least three tournaments in the 2024 season.

The eighth invite is held open for a wildcard entry, and will be awarded to a highly ranked player who doesn't meet the previous invite criteria (eg. Wes Peden in 2019 for winning the EJC but not taking part in any other tournament, Yaron Davidovich in 2022 for being highly ranked but living outside of Europe). If a wildcard invite isn't needed or a suitable juggler can't be found, the 8th ranked juggler in the Open Race Rankings will be invited. If they aren't available, a wildcard tournament will be held at the European Championships event in advance of the main tournament.

Qualification into the Women's tournament will follow the same rules, based on the 2024 Womens Race Rankings.

Participation in the Team Combat tournament will be finalised on the day. The tournament is for mixed doubles pairings. The plan for the tournament structure is group stage qualifying (seeded by the combined rankings of the players), followed by a knockout tournament with the top eight teams.
